One of the simplest tricks I’ve found in spotting fake news is to look closely at the source of the information.
Is the website trustworthy?
Is it a known news outlet, or does it seem sketchy?

A pro tip I’ve learned is to look for sites with a good reputation for fact-based reporting. If the article comes from a site you’ve never heard of, do a quick background check on the website itself. A little skepticism goes a long way in today’s media landscape.
